Unit. 2007 9 Heads on 9 pedestals in a grid approximately 108” square. The space is just large enough for people to walk amongst the heads. The unit is a group, an army, a family, a gang, a fraternity, a team…when together the individual becomes second to the unit, ideas, decisions, morals, character, etc. are all influenced by the unit, the one. There is chaos and order; the heads are composed of a mass of steel lines, all created individually; the pedestals are all the same. The heads remain individual while the space they reside becomes the same. The shifts between the individual verses the Unit vary. There is peace amongst the heads, there is anonymity, and there is tension and confrontation…
