System was inspired by the roots of Tree, 2008. I wanted the roots to take on an intense, more ambiguous form or system, not easily recognized or clearly read. The intensity which went into the creation of the piece holds the intensity of life, development and growth during huge change; environmental, immense pressure; financial, uncertainty and struggle, our world’s political flux.
