Growth was created for a specific location, a patch of boulders under the Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn Bridge Park; looking over the river to lower Manhattan. With processes of twisting, turning, winding and weaving the tie wire together, I worked with systems similar to those in nature. The form is integrated into its natural space, shifting between natural and industrial; considering how we (animal, human and the natural world) must alter our ways of being in order to survive in our continuingly shifting world.
